Ronaldo Bags 2 New Records
Cristiano Ronald keeps adding records to his already impressive footballing career, and he recently added two more.
The 36-year-old football superstar bagged his 100th goal for Juventus on Wednesday night, 12 May, after his side won 3-1 against Italian team Sassuolo Calcio.
Not only did the Portuguese striker break the record faster than any other player in the Serie A giants’ history, but he also became the first player to score 100 or more goals for three different teams across three nations.
Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down, especially with regards to making personal bests. One of his biggest – and most recent – milestones was scoring 300 career goals for Juve in February 2015. Basically chalking up 50 goals a year, a truly remarkable feat.
Even before he turned 30, he had won the coveted Ballon d’Or award five times, as well as scored 463 goals in 718 games. In fact, he has managed to break more records in his entire career than other footballing greats such as Ronaldinho and Ryan Giggs.
